Racing Belt Tensioner for Mustang GT 2005-2010 and Cobra 2003-2004 (Tensioner Only - No Pulley)

This one is for the serious racers with big blowers making more than 1000 HP. If this is you, then you have already moved past your factory belt tensioner to an aftermarket brand but nothing on the market can stand up this monster. Our racing tensioner has a 60 LB spring and is fabricated from 6061-T6 Billet Aluminum, not cast. Internal components include a TGP shaft, hardened bushings, heavy duty proprietary spring and thrust bearings make this the strongest and smoothest belt tensioner on the market. It has been tested and proven on the Dyno and The Track at over 1,500 RWHP and will reduce if not eliminate belt slip, which will increase boost and HP. To support all that power and boost we have increased the length of the boss to accommodate a double bearing pulley. Best of all it is a direct bolt on replacement for the stock unit, no brackets, fittings our adapters are needed. We offer a variety of sizes of double bearing pulleys in either grooved or smooth finishes. We are so confident that our tensioner will not bend or break that we will guarantee it for the life.

When ordering be sure to choose the right pulley for your application. We offer 70, 76 or 90 MM double bearing pulley in either smooth or grooved. Ceramic Bearing Upgrade option available, see below for details.

Part#: ARS9760A - Mustang GT 2005-2010 Racing - Progressive Spring Tension Starting at 58 - 62 LBS

Upgrade your pulley to Ceramic Bearings! Serious racers are constantly pushing the envelope and everyone knows that shaving off .001’s of a second from their ET which translates into more win lights.

Ceramic hybrid bearings use ceramic balls and steel races. Ceramic balls weigh up to 40% less than steel balls, depending on size. This reduces centrifugal loading and skidding, so hybrid ceramic bearings can operate up to 50% faster than conventional bearings. This means that the outer race groove exerts less force inward against the ball as the bearing spins. This reduction in force reduces the friction and rolling resistance. The lighter ball allows the bearing to spin faster, and uses less energy to maintain its speed.

Ceramic silicon nitride balls exhibit much greater hardness than steel balls resulting in at least 10 times greater ball life due to the ability to hold the surface finish longer. The ball has dramatically smoother surface properties than the best steel ball resulting in less friction between the balls and bearing race surfaces. Thermal properties are also dramatically improved over steel balls resulting in less heat buildup at high speeds. Ceramic has 35 percent less thermal expansion, 50 percent less thermal conductivity, are lighter weight and are non-corrosive

Best constructed tensioner I have ever seen...Heavy main spring better than any other tensioner I have tried. It works.
