CFD-Developed Airfoil

The APR Performance GT-250 airfoil is engineered using Computational Fluid Dynamics to provide an effective balance between rear downforce and aerodynamic drag. Its optimized profile helps improve rear-end stability while limiting unnecessary aerodynamic resistance that can reduce straight-line performance.

This balanced design makes the GT-250 well suited for vehicles that require functional rear downforce for cornering and braking without the higher drag associated with more aggressive aerodynamic configurations.

Adjustable Angle of Attack

The GT-250 provides an adjustable angle of attack from 0 to 15 degrees, allowing the driver to fine-tune rear aerodynamic loading for different circuits, driving conditions, and vehicle setups.

Pre-Preg Carbon Fiber Construction

The GT-250 airfoil is manufactured from pre-impregnated woven carbon fiber and autoclave cured using billet aluminum molds. This advanced manufacturing process provides excellent material density, strength, rigidity, and resistance to heat and stress-induced deformation.

The natural rigidity of carbon fiber helps prevent airfoil flex under aerodynamic loading, maintaining the intended wing profile for consistent performance at higher speeds while keeping overall weight to a minimum.

Billet Aluminum Pedestals

The wing is supported by 10mm-thick aircraft-grade 6061 billet aluminum pedestals engineered to provide the strength and rigidity required for demanding aerodynamic loads. Three pedestal heights are available, providing additional flexibility when positioning the wing for proper airflow and aerodynamic performance.

Vehicle-Specific Mounting

APR Performance uses vehicle-specific carbon fiber bottom plates to integrate the GT-250 with the Cadillac CTS-V Sedan. The mounting system provides a secure foundation for the wing while maintaining a clean, performance-oriented installation.

Pre-Installed Gurney Flap

Every GT-250 wing includes a pre-installed Gurney Flap along the trailing edge of the airfoil. The Gurney Flap helps increase downforce and reduce airflow separation, providing additional rear grip and aerodynamic effectiveness during high-speed cornering.
