Every SM-10RS starts as a proprietary 6061-T6 aluminum forging weighing up to 120 pounds before machining. Using an incredible 10,000 metric tons of pressure, Apex creates a dense forging with superior grain structure and reduced porosity, resulting in exceptional strength. Unlike generic forged blanks, Apex's motorsport-specific forgings are engineered in-house to maximize brake clearance, spoke geometry, concavity, and overall wheel performance.
