Engineered for Endurance Racing Abuse
The SM-10RE features Apexs strongest inner lip ever produced, reinforced with 50 percent additional material to better withstand potholes, aggressive curbing, berm strikes, and off-track excursions. Additional reinforcement in the front lip area further improves impact resistance for demanding track environments.
Every SM-10RE wheel is forged using an enormous 10,000 ton forging process that improves the aluminum grain structure while eliminating porosity for exceptional structural strength and durability.
Increased Stiffness for Better Feel
The redesigned side-milled spokes are approximately 20 to 25 percent stiffer than Apex Sprint Line wheels. Increased rigidity helps reduce camber loss during hard cornering, improving steering feedback, responsiveness, tire contact consistency, and overall driver confidence on track.
Extensive side-milling removes unnecessary material that does not contribute to strength, allowing the SM-10RE to remain impressively lightweight despite its increased durability and reinforcement.
