High-Flow Pro 5R Performance Air Filter
This intake system features a 7-inch-tall conical air filter constructed with five layers of progressively finer, pre-oiled cotton gauze media. The Pro 5R filter is designed to maximize airflow and performance, with progressive layering that allows it to maintain high airflow levels even as dirt accumulates.
Ideal for street and track applications, the washable and reusable Pro 5R filter can be cleaned and re-oiled using aFe POWER CLEANER and blue air filter oil.
Top-Mounted Steel Heat Shield
The Rapid Induction system features a one-piece heat shield constructed from durable 18-gauge steel and finished in a wrinkle-black powder coat. The heat shield mounts directly to the lower half of the factory airbox, helping isolate the air filter from engine compartment heat.
This top-mounted design reduces installation complexity by utilizing the existing factory airbox structure.
Retention Groove Filter Mounting Interface
An integrated retention groove secures the air filter to the heat shield without requiring additional mounting brackets or hardware. This design reduces the number of components needed and provides a secure filter connection for straightforward installation.
Computer-Designed XLPE Intake Tube
The Stage 1 Rapid Induction system includes a computer-designed, roto-molded intake tube constructed from heat-soak-resistant cross-linked polyethylene (XLPE). The tube is engineered to provide a smooth airflow transition while connecting directly to the factory intake tube.
Retaining the appropriate factory intake components allows the system to accommodate the original turbocharger recirculation arrangement.
Factory Turbocharger Recirculation Valve Compatibility
For 2024 and newer Jeep Wrangler JL 2.0L turbocharged non-hybrid models, Jeep uses a factory plumb-back recirculation valve that routes pressurized air from the turbocharger back into the intake tube.
Because this valve is permanently integrated into the original equipment intake tract and cannot be removed or relocated, aFe POWER designed the Rapid Induction system to retain the factory intake tube. This configuration maintains proper turbocharger system operation while simplifying installation.
