This calibration is commonly used in EFI supercharged applications that require less aggressive fuel pressure gain than a 12:1 FMU while still maintaining safe air-to-fuel ratios under boost.
Instead of replacing the complete FMU assembly, this kit provides a precise and cost-effective method to tailor fuel pressure behavior to injector size, boost level, and overall engine combination.
What the 10:1 Calibration Is Used For
The 10:1 FMU calibration is typically paired with 24 lb/hr fuel injectors in Vortech supercharged applications, including Cobra-style injector setups. It offers a balanced increase in fuel pressure that improves control and drivability while still supplying sufficient enrichment under boost.
Higher ratios such as 12:1 are best suited for stock injectors, while lower ratios are recommended when larger injectors are installed to prevent excessive fuel pressure.
