During normal engine operation, crankcase vapors containing oil are routed back through the intake system via the PCV system. Over time, these oil vapors can accumulate in the intake tubing, intake manifold, and combustion chambers while potentially reducing fuel octane. This condition is common on all engines and becomes even more pronounced on supercharged and turbocharged applications where crankcase pressure increases significantly.
The J&L 3.0 Oil Separator is CNC-machined from solid billet aluminum and features a multi-stage filtration system designed to capture even the finest oil vapors. A stainless steel screen initially traps suspended oil particles, which then pass through a 1/2-inch thick aluminum honeycomb filter where droplets combine and become heavy enough to fall into the collection reservoir. The result is cleaner intake air and reduced oil contamination throughout the induction system.

How It Works
The J&L 3.0 Oil Separator utilizes a two-stage filtration process. Oil vapors first pass through a fine stainless steel screen that captures smaller particles.
