The Paxton NOVI 2200SL High Output Supercharger System is a complete, fully calibrated bolt-on power solution for the 2005-2006 Mustang GT 4.6L 3V. Paxton documents gains of up to 170 horsepower on 2005-2008 models and up to 183 horsepower on 2010 models, making this one of the most powerful and refined street supercharger systems ever developed for the S197 Mustang.
This High Output system is built around the NOVI 2200SL gear-driven centrifugal supercharger and an integrated air-to-air charge cooler. On a stock engine, the system produces 10 psi of boost at factory redline, elevating output to 470 horsepower and 420 lb-ft of torque when using CA 91-octane fuel.
Paxton's continued test-cell development produced the NOVI 1200SL and 2200SL compressors, achieving an industry-leading 75-78% peak adiabatic efficiency (SAE J1723 standard). Higher efficiency reduces heat generation, lowers drive power requirements, and delivers more net horsepower to the tires. Reduced heat also improves durability during sustained boost operation.
All NOVI SL-Series superchargers feature a self-contained lubrication system, eliminating engine oil feed lines and simplifying installation. Paxton supercharger systems also weigh significantly less than many competing designs, providing an excellent power-to-weight advantage. Dollar for dollar, Paxton systems consistently deliver more horsepower than virtually any other upgrade, while normal driving often results in unchanged or improved fuel economy.
