Convert your existing spherical bearing upper control arm to a street-friendly polyurethane setup on your S197 platform with this BMR Suspension On-Car Adjustable Polyurethane Upgrade Component. If you already run a BMR adjustable rear upper control arm but want to swap from a spherical bearing to high-performance polyurethane bushings, there is no need to replace the entire assembly. This targeted upgrade component allows you to keep your premium control arm chassis configuration while dramatically dropping cabin NVH (Noise, Vibration, and Harshness) for a much quieter, more comfortable daily drive.
Built to withstand extreme performance environments, this heavy-duty upgrade piece is manufactured from 1-5/8 inch, 0.120-inch wall DOM steel tubing and features professional TIG-welded chrome-moly tube adapters. Its on-car adjustable design interfaces seamlessly with your existing adjuster assembly, allowing you to quickly fine-tune your rear pinion angle for optimized traction and proper driveline alignment without removing the arm. To eliminate unwanted axle rotation and wheel hop under load, BMR equips this component with a large 2-inch, high-performance 95-durometer polyurethane bushing. The bushing features internal fluting that evenly distributes grease to the inner sleeve and thrust surfaces, ensuring long-lasting, squeak-free, and bind-free operation. Finished in a rugged black hammertone powdercoat, this direct bolt-on swap installs in approximately 1-2 hours. Note: This piece is also a direct-fit upgrade for Cobra Jet Mustang factory upper control arm configurations.
