The TRZ Motorsports Extended-Length Billet Aluminum Spindles - 2? Drop are engineered for Foxbody racers running forward-mounted steering racks or custom front-end setups where additional steering arm length is required. CNC-machined in-house from billet aluminum and paired with heat-treated stainless steel spindle pins, these spindles deliver strength, precision, and major weight savings for high-performance Mustang builds.
This extended-length version includes billet aluminum bolt-on steering arms that are extended by 1.5?, specifically designed for vehicles where the steering rack is placed 2? or more ahead of the stock mounting location. Like all TRZ Foxbody spindles, they utilize an exclusive 3-piece no-weld design that enhances rigidity and accuracy under load.
The 2? drop geometry corrects front suspension angle and restores proper strut installation height on lowered vehicles - improving shock travel, weight transfer, and launch consistency. These spindles are compatible with stock-type V8 Mustang race brakes from Strange, TBM, Wilwood, and Aerospace, but will not work with genuine OEM brakes.
Each spindle weighs just 4 lbs (8 lbs per pair), offering a dramatic reduction compared to heavy factory cast pieces. Installation hardware is included: castle nuts, keyed washers, cotter pins, ball joint spacers, and steering arm bolts. They work with all common ball joints - Foxbody joints require the included spacer, while SN95/New Edge joints do not.
For SN95/New Edge chassis using Fox geometry, narrowed A-arms (1? or more) may be required depending on caster/camber plate location. Adjustable A-arms are strongly recommended for optimal alignment and front-end precision.
