BMR 2" Rear Lowering Leaf Spring - Black (SP057) - 1967-1981 F-Body / 1968-1974 X-Body
Refresh your classic muscle car's rear suspension while achieving a modern, low-slung look with the BMR Suspension Rear Lowering Leaf Spring (SP057). Over time, factory leaf springs naturally lose their arch, rust, and fail to adequately control damaging axle wrap and wheel hop under acceleration. This 2-inch lowering leaf spring features a performance-driven three-leaf architecture that drastically improves chassis stability and cornering composure. It is engineered as a versatile, multi-purpose suspension upgrade suitable for high-performance street driving, weekend drag racing, and classic autocross applications.
Every SP057 leaf spring measures 2.5 inches wide with 4 inches of free arch, delivering a calibrated 190 lb/in spring rate that balances flat-cornering support with a smooth, firm ride quality. To handle severe stress and resist metal fatigue, the leaf packs are shot-peened for premium structural integrity. This leaf spring kit arrives ready to install with premium, new rubber bushings pressed into the front eyelets to dampen road vibrations, alongside durable polyurethane bushings for the rear to maintain precise axle alignment. Finished in a high-durability black coating to guard against corrosion, this upgrade restores both structural confidence and aggressive street appeal to your classic GM platform.
