Engineered to outperform round tube connectors, the SFC005H assemblies are fabricated in the USA from heavy-duty 2-inch square structural steel tubing and laser-profiled 3/16-inch CNC-formed frame boxes. This design uses a perimeter layout that tucks cleanly inside the rocker channels to ensure that the connectors won’t interfere with seat mounts, exhaust pipes, or ground clearance on lowered cars. The bolt-on design anchors firmly to the rear frame rails and spring pocket locations, utilizing BMR's exclusive Delrin body mount bushings at the critical front subframe connection. This design choice means you can still drop the front subframe for maintenance if needed, while retaining a solid, structural link to the rear frame. The entire assembly is fully MIG-welded and finished in BMR's signature, highly durable black hammertone powder coat finish to resist rust, scratches, oil, and road debris. Beyond massive gains in chassis stiffness, the flat square-tube profile acts as a perfect, secure underbody lifting rail, protecting your factory pinch welds and rocker panels from jack damage.
IMPORTANT FITMENT & INSTALLATION NOTES:
- Vehicle Compatibility: Fits 1967-1969 GM F-Body models (Chevrolet Camaro & Pontiac Firebird) and 1968-1974 GM X-Body platforms (including Chevrolet Nova, Buick Apollo, Oldsmobile Omega, and Pontiac Ventura). Compatible with both hardtop and convertible body configurations.
- Underbody Hardlines: Depending on factory assembly tolerances, some vehicles may require slight clearance routing adjustments or minor repositioning of the original brake or fuel lines.
- Installation: This is a 100% bolt-in design requiring absolutely no structural welding. The kit comes complete with heavy-duty mounting brackets and high-tensile Grade 8 installation hardware. Installation can be completed easily on a standard vehicle lift in approximately 1 to 2 hours. Connectors may also be welded for ultimate chassis rigidity.
