The PPE High-Flow Stainless Steel Down Pipe is a performance-focused upgrade for the 2017-2025 GM 6.6L Duramax L5P, replacing the restrictive factory unit with a smoother, free-flowing design. Built from premium 304 stainless steel, this downpipe improves durability, exhaust flow, and turbocharger efficiency.
Improved Exhaust Flow & Turbo Response
The factory downpipe is known for its narrow, restrictive construction. PPE's design features an unobstructed 3.5-inch flow path with smooth transitions that reduce backpressure, lower EGTs, and help the turbo spool more efficiently. The result is better throttle response and improved overall performance.
Durable 304 Stainless Steel Construction
Crafted from 304 stainless steel, this downpipe offers excellent corrosion resistance and long-term reliability. The upper flange is fully machined and TIG welded with a factory-style V-band for a secure, leak-free seal.
Heat Management Built In
To further enhance performance and protect surrounding components, the downpipe includes a woven titanium heat sleeve that helps retain heat within the exhaust stream and reduce engine bay temperatures.
Direct Fit & Sensor Compatibility
This downpipe is compatible with both factory and PPE up-pipes and retains the OEM M14-1.5 sensor port for proper integration with factory electronics.
