Overview
The factory exhaust manifold and up-pipe setup on the 2001-2004 GM 6.6L Duramax (Federal emissions and 2001 California models) is known for creating excess back-pressure and elevated EGTs. PPE's High-Flow Exhaust Manifold and Up-Pipe Kit replaces these restrictive components with a stronger, smoother-flowing system designed to improve turbo response, reduce heat, and support increased performance demands.
High-Flow Manifold Construction
The manifold is cast from high-sil moly iron for excellent strength and heat resistance. Its optimized internal design promotes better exhaust flow, helping lower EGTs and improving turbo spool-up. A ceramic-coated version is also available for those who want enhanced thermal control and long-term corrosion protection.
Free-Flow Up-Pipe Design
The included up-pipes feature free-flowing stainless steel inner liner bellows and are built from 11-gauge (.120-inch wall) stainless steel with a 2-inch outside diameter. Internally sleeved bellows made from aircraft-grade 304 stainless steel increase durability and flow capacity under high heat and high boost conditions.

Optional Ceramic Coating
PPE's ceramic coating option adds a thermal barrier that slows heat absorption and reduces surface temperatures. This improves flow efficiency, lowers EGTs even further, and protects the manifold from moisture, road salts, oil, fuel, and other corrosive elements. It also keeps the manifold looking clean for years.
Installation Note
This kit requires the use of a PPE LB7 downpipe. The factory downpipe is not compatible. For a complete upgrade, pair this system with PPE's 3-inch 304 stainless steel downpipe.
