PPE's Air-to-Water Intercooler Kit in a sleek black finish delivers a substantial cooling upgrade for 2020-2026 GM 3.0L Duramax LM2 and LZ0 engines. By supplying cooler, denser charge air, this system improves power, efficiency, and consistency - especially during towing, high-heat conditions, or heavy-load driving.
All-Aluminum Bar-and-Plate Construction
This intercooler uses a rugged all-aluminum bar-and-plate core paired with TIG-welded cast-aluminum end tanks. The design offers far greater durability and heat resistance than the factory cooler, which relies on crimped plastic end tanks.
2.4× Larger Core Volume
With a 2.4-times larger core (a 140% increase in volume), this intercooler provides significantly more surface area for heat transfer. The highly efficient fin layout in both the air and coolant passages maximizes cooling performance.
77% Reduction in Pressure Drop
Optimized end-tank geometry and expanded core volume reduce air pressure drop by 77%. This allows the turbocharger to operate more efficiently, improving throttle response and reducing turbo strain.
Up to 30°F Lower Intake Air Temperatures
Real-world testing showed intake air temperatures that closely follow ambient air, with reductions of up to 30°F compared to the stock intercooler. Lower IATs support better combustion, improved fuel economy, and reduced EGTs.
