Because S197 Mustangs can easily reach speeds requiring secondary braking systems, BMR engineered a robust, NHRA-compliant mounting solution that integrates seamlessly behind the rear bumper cover.
The PM001R is constructed from heavy-duty 1.625-inch, 0.095-inch wall DOM (Drawn Over Mandrel) steel tubing and computer-cut, laser-welded plate steel. The main support brace bolts directly to the rear bumper structure, hiding completely out of sight. The clever receiver-style mount exits through the rear license plate area, allowing you to install the external parachute bracket and pack mount when at the track, and quickly slide it back out for a completely stock look on the street. Finished in a high-gloss, durable red powdercoat, this heavy-duty kit is supplied with high-strength Grade 8 mounting hardware. Proudly designed and manufactured in the USA!
