GPI Low Lift LS Camshaft - LLT3 8620 Hardened Core Upgrade (4.8L / 5.3L / 6.0L / 6.2L) - LLT3-8620
Upgraded Low Lift Camshaft for Performance Trucks & Hot Rods
The GPI LLT3 8620 Hardened Core Upgrade delivers all the sound, power, and versatility of the standard LLT3 with the added durability of an 8620 hardened core. This process creates a significantly stronger, wear-resistant camshaft designed to handle aggressive use while maintaining long-term reliability.
Built for 4.8L, 5.3L, 6.0L, and 6.2L LS engines, the LLT3 offers a choppy, big-cam idle and a usable street powerband beginning around 2,750 RPM. It's perfect for trucks, hot rods, and LS swap builds that want real-world drivability paired with a noticeable performance jump.
Note: A higher stall converter and long-tube headers are required.
Why Choose the 8620 Hardened Core?
GPI's 8620 upgrade enhances wear surfaces while preserving the core ductility needed to prevent fracture. The result is a stronger, longer-lasting camshaft - ideal for performance trucks, street/strip setups, and high-mileage drivers who still demand reliability.
Low Lift Performance Series
The LLT3, LLT4, and LLT5 make up GPI's Low Lift Performance cam series, built specifically for enthusiasts pushing LS-powered trucks and hot rods beyond stock limitations. These cams deliver aggressive sound and strong midrange without requiring engine teardown or high-lift valvetrain components.
