CorteX Xtreme-Grip Penske Double Adjustable Coilover System (CCK-40-1000-PSK-DA) - 2005-2014 Ford Mustang
Upgrade your 2005-2014 Ford Mustang with the CorteX Racing Xtreme-Grip Penske Double Adjustable Coilover System. Designed for serious performance street, track-day, and competition use, this system combines CorteX-engineered strut housings and mounting hardware with Penske double adjustable dampers for a wide range of suspension tuning and consistent performance under demanding conditions.
CorteX develops its strut housings and shock mounts around strength, stiffness, deflection control, and fatigue resistance. Components are evaluated through finite element analysis and validated with real-world use, while steel construction is used in critical areas to help minimize camber loss and resist bending under the substantial loads experienced by a strut-based suspension.

Penske Double Adjustable Dampers
The Penske double adjustable configuration gives drivers a high level of control over suspension behavior. This expanded adjustment range allows the chassis to be tuned around different tracks, tires, vehicle setups, and driving preferences.
CorteX customers use Penske dampers throughout serious performance and racing applications due to their tuning capability, consistency, and serviceability. Each Penske shock is hand-assembled in the United States and tested on a shock dyno.
Why Penske?
- Billet-machined components
- Hand-assembled in the United States by certified professionals
- Designed for excellent serviceability and support
- Each shock is tested on a shock dyno
- Commonly used in professional and grassroots motorsports applications
Front Suspension Components
- Pair of front strut assemblies with Penske internals
- Pair of adjustable camber plates
- Camber slugs for resetting the camber range at the strut body

Engineered Steel Construction
CorteX uses steel for its strut housings and mounting brackets because stiffness is critical in a strut-based suspension. Struts see significant bending loads in addition to tension and compression, so reducing housing deflection helps preserve camber control and suspension geometry under load.
Steel also offers excellent fatigue resistance for components that experience repeated high-load cycles during track and competition use. CorteX validates these components through computer modeling and real-world testing before putting them into service.
