The various driving modes provide an impressive 11-decibel difference in volume, giving the GT500 dramatically different sound characteristics depending on how and where the car is being driven.
CORSA Active Valve Technology
More than two years of research went into developing CORSA's Active Valve exhaust technology. CORSA set out to create a system capable of delivering a varying range of exhaust volume while maintaining the benefits of its No Drone RSC® Technology.
After testing numerous off-the-shelf valve solutions, CORSA developed its own valve to meet its performance and durability requirements. The valve was torture tested under intense heat-cycling conditions and experienced no failures at well over half a million cycles. On the Shelby GT500, CORSA Active Valve Technology integrates seamlessly with the factory valve operating system while maintaining the factory solenoids for proper functionality.
No Drone RSC® Technology
CORSA combines its Active Valve system with RSC® Technology to provide a comfortable, drone-free cruising experience. RSC® Technology is designed to control the unwanted frequencies responsible for exhaust drone while preserving the aggressive exhaust character enthusiasts want when accelerating or driving with the valves open. This allows the GT500 to remain comfortable during normal cruising without sacrificing the sound expected from a performance exhaust system.
Black Carbon Fiber 5.0-Inch Tips
The 21292CFBLK system finishes the dual rear exit configuration with four large 5.0-inch carbon fiber exhaust tips featuring a black finish.
