It's All True - These Are Great

Posted by Ed Cochran on Dec 13th 2019

Everything you hear about this Corsa Xtreme exhaust is true. I watched many videos and read numerous reviews, and I can say that the consensus is spot on. The quality of the workmanship is extremely high. The sound that this system makes is almost a mix of an American muscle car with a touch of European exotic. I have a 2015 Mustang GT that still had it's stock exhaust. Inside my car with the windows up, this Corsa system sounds no different when on the interstate and cruising. Even on light acceleration, say revving to 2500 RPMs before shifting, there's very little difference of the sound level inside the car. But it's a totally different ballgame on hard acceleration. The Corsa Xtreme makes a sound that I can't get enough of. Absolutely love it. That said, it is pretty loud when under hard acceleration, but it's named the Xtreme, for crying out loud, so, of course, it is loud. And the first 5 to 10 seconds of a cold start are also pretty loud. If it's early in the morning, I start the car with my garage door down and then raise my door a few seconds later just to save my relationship with my neighbor on one side of my house. ;-) But it quiets down to a respectable level after a few seconds. If you have a rack to lift your car, I could see self-installing these, but I chose to have mine installed by a muffler/performance shop. With some heat on a hanger bracket, they were able to get the rear tips perfectly centered in the rear bumper fascia, whereas I am not sure I could have.

Also, Beefcake Racing promptly filled and shipped my order, and they were easily reachable when I had a question about a Corsa rebate.

All in all, if you can afford Corsa, I doubt you will be disappointed in the sound or build quality. And if you catch these on sale and maybe also get a Corsa rebate, they really aren't that bad of a deal. My only regret is that I did put this system on years ago, but I was leaving the car mostly stock during the warranty.
