The Type IV Ram Air Hood features an aggressive raised center section with pre-cut front air ducts that help direct cooler outside air into the engine compartment. While the hood is not equipped with a fully functional ram air system out of the box, it is designed to pull in cooler outside air and can be upgraded using Cervini's optional Ram Air Conversion Kit for enhanced functionality.
One of the standout features of this hood is the pair of premium billet heat extractor vents. Available in either black or polished finishes, these extractor vents help evacuate hot air from the engine compartment while adding a distinctive high-performance appearance that complements the aggressive design of the S197 Mustang.
Constructed from premium hand-laid fiberglass, the hood offers exceptional fit, durability, and strength. The fully finished underside liner adds rigidity while delivering a smooth show-quality appearance. New windshield washer squirters are included and relocated to the underside of the hood, maintaining a clean exterior appearance.
Installation is straightforward thanks to the direct bolt-on design that utilizes all factory mounting locations and the OEM hood latch system.
