Increase underhood room and improve weight distribution on your 1982-2002 GM F-Body with a Battery Relocation Kit from BMR Suspension. Relocating your battery removes heavy dead weight from the nose of your car and places it directly over the rear wheels where it is needed for better traction and handling balance. Engineered for street performance, drag racing, and handling applications, this custom battery box mounts securely to the rear frame rail in place of the factory spare tire well.
Built from CNC-laser cut and CNC-formed steel plate, BMR’s BR001R kit features a robust bolt-on design that requires no cutting or vehicle fabrication for installation. The box features inside dimensions of 10.75"L x 7"W x 7-13/16"H to accommodate a variety of batteries, while freeing up valuable space under the hood. Finished in a striking red powder coat for long-lasting good looks, installation takes approximately 2 hours. Note: Not for use with wet cell batteries unless properly sealed off from the vehicle interior.
