Factory OE rubber cradle bushings are manufactured with large air pockets, allowing the entire rear subframe to shift violently under hard acceleration, cornering, and braking. This excessive subframe movement leads to severe wheel hop, loss of traction, and a loose, uncommunicative rear end.
Designed for street performance applications, BMR’s polyurethane cradle bushing inserts (BK040) offer an economical and effective alternative to replacing the entire factory bushing set. Molded from rigid 95-durometer polyurethane, these inserts slide directly into the factory voids to drastically limit inherent subframe movement without the need to press out the OE shells. The result is a dramatically more stable and predictable platform with no discernible increase in noise, vibration, or harshness (NVH). Resistant to road salt, ozone, and petroleum products, installation takes approximately 4–5 hours.
