Up to 20% More Hot-Side Airflow
The factory charge piping can become a restriction as airflow moves through the EcoBoost turbo system. aFe Power's BladeRunner hot-side charge pipes are designed to reduce that restriction, delivering up to 20% greater airflow than the factory hot-side charge pipes.
The hot side uses TIG-welded aluminum piping ranging from 2" to 2-1/2" in diameter. Smooth transitions and mandrel-bent construction help decrease turbulence and minimize pressure loss as compressed air travels through the system.
Up to 11% More Cold-Side Airflow
The cold-side BladeRunner charge pipe also improves upon the factory design, outflowing the stock cold-side charge pipe by up to 11%. The TIG-welded aluminum cold-side piping transitions from 3-1/2" to 2-3/4" to provide a smooth airflow path between components.
Combined with the upgraded hot side, the complete BladeRunner system provides a freer-flowing transition between the turbo system and engine to support lower operating temperatures and increased power.
Mandrel-Bent Aluminum Construction
aFe Power manufactures the BladeRunner pipes from aluminum rather than relying on the restrictive factory charge pipe construction. The pipes are mandrel bent to maintain smooth internal transitions and TIG welded for strength and durability.
The smooth aluminum passages are designed to decrease turbulence and minimize pressure loss, helping compressed air move efficiently through the turbocharged intake system. Improved airflow can contribute to increased horsepower and torque while supporting more efficient turbo system operation.
Premium SmartSeal Clamps and 5-Ply Silicone Couplings
A high-flow charge pipe system needs connections capable of handling the demands of a turbocharged application. aFe Power includes premium stainless-steel SmartSeal clamps along with heavy-duty 5-ply silicone couplings reinforced with polyester for superior strength and durability.

1/8" NPT Accessory Ports
For modified applications that require additional monitoring or fluid injection equipment, aFe Power provides 1/8" NPT ports in the BladeRunner system. These ports can be used to connect compatible sensors or a water/methanol injection system, giving performance-focused builds additional flexibility without requiring the charge pipes to be modified for an accessory connection.
Textured Red Powder-Coated Finish
