The Whipple W175FF Gen 4 Supercharger Assembly is the latest evolution of Whipples legendary 2.9L platform, engineered as a direct bolt-on upgrade for existing Gen 1, Gen 2, and Gen 3 W175AXFF superchargers. Designed for Ford, GM, and Dodge applications, this complete Gen 4 assembly with jack shaft delivers meaningful gains in power, efficiency, and thermal control without requiring extreme pulley changes or a full Crusher conversion.
The 2.9L Whipple has long been the go-to head unit for Cobras, GT500s, Coyotes, and high-performance GM and HEMI platforms. Building on that success, Whipple introduced the Gen 3 rotor upgrade in 2017, unlocking 30150 HP and torque gains at the same boost level. With the Gen 4 upgrade, Whipple refined the rotor profile and housing even further, increasing airflow by approximately 4% and generating 11.5 additional PSI at the same pulley size.
This Gen 4 assembly also features the updated Whipple Crusher supercharger housing, which improves volumetric efficiency and reduces discharge temperatures by 1080°F depending on application and conditions. The result is a cooler, denser air charge that supports more consistent power, improved reliability, and additional tuning headroom.
