Whipples evolution of Gen 6 technology began with the high-efficiency 3.0L supercharger developed for the 2018+ direct-injection Mustang GT, a platform that quickly proved capable of producing enormous power on mostly stock setups. That same Gen 6 rotor and housing technology has now been scaled up into the formidable W235RF 3.8L twin-screw supercharger, purpose-built for extreme performance applications.
The Gen 6 3.8L Whipple features all-new bearings, gears, rotors, and housing, allowing it to spin faster, run cooler, and sustain higher RPM safely while producing more power than any previous positive displacement design. In testing, the 3.8L supercharger shows an approximate 6% increase in isentropic efficiency compared to the 3.0L, translating directly into more usable airflow and reduced heat at elevated boost levels.
