Overview
The Whipple W185RF 3.0L Gen 6 Supercharger Kit is the most powerful positive displacement supercharger system available for the LT4 platform. Engineered for the 2017–2024 Camaro ZL1 and also compatible with the Cadillac CTS-V LT4, this complete bolt-on system delivers instant boost, massive torque, and record-setting performance while retaining street manners and emissions compliance.
At the heart of the system is Whipple’s Gen 6 3.0L twin-screw supercharger, featuring a massive 112mm inlet opening and the largest displacement positive displacement blower ever offered for the LT4. This system is designed to significantly outperform smaller 1.9L, 2.3L, and even 2.65L roots-style competitors by delivering more airflow, more boost at the hit, and a flatter torque curve across the entire RPM range.
Astounding Performance
Under ideal conditions on a stock vehicle using 93-octane fuel, this system is capable of producing up to 805 horsepower and 735 lb-ft of torque. Power delivery is immediate and relentless, transforming the ZL1 or CTS-V into a brutally fast yet refined performance machine.

Gen 6 3.0L Twin-Screw Advantage
The Whipple 3.0L supercharger is approximately 70% larger than the OEM 1.76L unit and offers 13% more displacement than the Eaton 2650 (2.65L). This increased displacement allows the system to move more air at lower rotor speeds, improving efficiency, reducing heat, and delivering instant boost with exceptional throttle response.
Patented Intercooling & Cooling Efficiency
This system features Whipple’s patented dual intercooler core, dual water-pass, and dual air-pass intercooler design. The result is uncompromised cooling capacity that keeps intake air temperatures under control during aggressive street driving and sustained track use.
An intercooled bypass system further reduces tip-in spark knock, improving drivability while maintaining performance under transient throttle conditions.
Race-Ready Airflow Design
The integrated Crusher™ venturi-shaped inlet and 112mm round inlet opening minimize inlet restriction and rotor cavitation, allowing the supercharger to outflow smaller 90mm and 93mm inlet systems. The 112mm inlet also supports optional throttle bodies ranging from 102mm up to 120mm, making this system highly scalable for future upgrades.
For race-focused builds, the supercharger housing includes cast-in port injection bosses (machining required), providing flexibility for high-horsepower applications.
Complete, Turnkey System
This Whipple supercharger kit is delivered as a true bolt-on solution and includes all required components for installation. The system features plug-and-play wiring, OEM-style quick-connect fittings, and a self-contained oversized oil system designed to reduce oil temperatures even under extreme conditions.
The kit also includes an HP Tuners RTD flash tool with calibration, allowing you to read and clear codes and utilize multiple datalogging features.
50-State Legal & Street Friendly
This system is fully 50-state legal and CARB certified under EO D-231-123 for model years 2016–2024, offering peace of mind for street-driven vehicles without sacrificing performance.
Important ZL1 Hood Clearance Note
Camaro ZL1 models require the Whipple Carbon Fiber Hood Insert or an aftermarket hood to ensure proper clearance and optimal functionality of the supercharger system.
