The Whipple Stage 1 Performance Kit for the 20212025 Ford Bronco 2.7L EcoBoost is the first and only 50-state legal performance upgrade available for this platform. Designed to dramatically improve torque, throttle response, and drivability without sacrificing reliability, this complete bolt-on system combines Whipples oversized Mega Cooler intercooler, high-flow air filter, and an industry-leading OEM-based calibration.
Running on 91+ octane fuel, the Stage 1 system delivers gains of up to 60 rear-wheel horsepower and 90 lb-ft of rear-wheel torque. Even more important for real-world driving, torque increases begin as low as 2,000 RPM, giving the Bronco stronger acceleration, better off-road control, and improved towing confidence.

Mega Cooler Intercooler Technology
At the core of the system is Whipples heavy-duty Mega Cooler intercooler. This bar-and-plate design offers a 58% increase in internal core volume, a 144% increase in external fin surface area, and 12% less restriction compared to the factory intercooler.
Offset fin construction on both the hot and cold sides maximizes heat transfer while retaining factory packaging. Lower intake air temperatures allow increased spark advance and denser air charge, resulting in stronger and more consistent power while maintaining long-term reliability.
High-Flow Air Filter
The included high-velocity air filter is a direct replacement for the factory element and features an 8-layer cotton design with a power-stack filter end. It flows 17.9% more air than the stock paper filter and is fully washable and reusable, ensuring long-term performance without added maintenance costs.
Calibration & Control
Whipples calibration is developed using factory-level tools to ensure seamless integration with the Broncos powertrain systems. The tune improves pedal mapping, raises RPM shift points, refines shift scheduling, increases the speed limiter to 120 MPH, and maintains all factory drive modes.
Each kit includes the Whipple MPVI3 flash tool, allowing you to upload the calibration, read and erase diagnostic trouble codes, view live data, and perform advanced data logging. Tire size and axle ratio calibration are also supported (up to 5.10 gears and 39 tires).
