The Whipple Super High Density (SHD) Intercooler Core is a direct replacement upgrade engineered for 20202022 Shelby GT500 and 20232026 Ford Raptor R applications retaining the stock intercooler block. Sharing the same race-proven technology used in Whipple Superchargers winning programs, this core dramatically improves heat transfer and coolant flow where the factory intercooler begins to reach its limits.
This SHD core features 33% larger inlet and outlet water passages (1" to 3/4") to significantly increase coolant flow capacity over stock and many aftermarket options. A wider core design provides 10% more usable surface area, while Whipples super high density offset fin design packs more cooling into the same footprint for improved thermal efficiency under increased airflow.
Built with billet inlet/outlet tanks and a billet flange for superior strength, this intercooler installs easily with no cutting, grinding, or porting required. It integrates seamlessly with the stock supercharger system and remains upgradeable with an optional billet intercooler manifold for additional flow capacity as power demands increase.
