The TRZ Motorsports Solid Axle Conversion Crossmember with Pre-Welded Adjustable LCA Mounts (Part #S550-204 & 209-33) gives 2015 - 2023 Mustang S550 owners a streamlined way to convert factory IRS to a proven Fox Body - style triangulated 4-link. This version includes adjustable lower control arm mounts with the doublers already welded in place, saving fabrication time and ensuring precise, aligned mounting geometry.
The kit includes the complete crossmember assembly along with upper and lower control arm hardware and inserts for 3/4? rod ends. Although the crossmember bolts to factory locations for initial alignment, it must be fully welded and integrated into the chassis. Proper installation requires reinforcing both the upper and lower torque box areas and tying the structure into your existing roll cage. TRZ specifies that a 25.5 MINIMUM chassis is required for safe use.
The crossmember features multi-hole UCA and LCA mounts to fine-tune suspension geometry and works with 9? and 8.8 solid axle housings. Centered and stock pinion offset setups are both acceptable. Housing-side LCA brackets must be relocated to 32.5? - 34? on center, and TRZ offers weld-on brackets via the dropdown menu.
