TRZ Motorsports Front Upper Coil-Over Mounts (1982 - 1988 Chevy Blazer / S-10 - 2WD) - S10-2

Front Upper Coil-Over Mounts for 1982 - 1988 S-10 & Blazer (2WD)

The TRZ Motorsports Front Upper Coil-Over Mounts upgrade the front suspension on 1982 - 1988 Chevy S-10 and Blazer 2WD models by replacing the weak factory stud-style upper shock mount with a precision bearing-style coil-over mount. This eliminates rubber bushing slop, prevents long-term bushing flattening, and delivers significantly more accurate suspension travel - ideal for drag racing, pro-touring, and high-performance street builds.

The brackets bolt onto the backside of the upper cross-shaft frame mount to establish proper coil-over placement. After alignment, welding is required to finalize installation. Once installed, these mounts support any 1" wide x 1/2" ID upper coil-over shock, making it easy to upgrade to modern performance dampers.

Each kit includes LH & RH mounts, (2) Grade 8 shock bolts with nylocks, and (2) travel limiter bolt pad brackets (where applicable). This system eliminates rubber-isolated inconsistencies and enhances suspension predictability and control.

Frequently Asked Questions

Does installation require welding?

Yes. The mounts bolt into place for alignment, but must be welded afterward for proper strength and long-term reliability.

What shocks work with these mounts?

Any 1" wide x 1/2" ID upper bearing-style coil-over shock works. Most S-10 / Blazer setups should use a 4" stroke shock unless otherwise noted.
