The TRZ Motorsports Billet Faceplate 4130 9? Builders Kit with Sheet Metal Back Brace (Part #650-BKSB) is engineered for fabricators who want a lightweight, ultra-rigid base for building a custom 9-inch rear-end. This kit brings together a pocketed 4130 billet faceplate, billet tube caps, chromoly shell pieces, reinforcing gussets, ARP hardware, and a formed sheet metal 4130 back brace for exceptional rigidity.
The billet faceplate features blind 3rd member hardware holes, weight-saving machining, and integrated vent and drain ports. TRZ's billet axle tube caps locate 3.5? axle tubes internally before welding, ensuring precise alignment during fabrication. The 3-piece chromoly rear shell includes a centered fill cap opening and an anodized high-grip fill cap with welded bung.
The kit also includes internal housing gussets, a full set of ARP studs, nuts, and washers, plus drain and vent fittings. Fabricators can fully weld the faceplate and tube caps prior to fitting the shell, allowing a controlled and predictable build process.
Important: Designed for 3.5? axle tubes with a centered pinion. TRZ specifies RTV sealant only - not a gasket. If a gasket is used, matching shims must be added during the build to maintain the correct stack height.
