The TRZ Motorsports Billet Aluminum Spindles - 2? Drop are engineered for Foxbody Mustang racers who want lighter rotating weight, improved suspension geometry, and proper strut height correction on lowered vehicles. CNC-machined in-house from billet aluminum, each spindle features a heat-treated stainless steel spindle pin and an exclusive 3-piece design with zero welds - maximizing strength and precision for high-performance applications.
These spindles include a matched pair of billet aluminum bolt-on steering arms available in factory length or TRZ's extended-length version, depending on your steering rack position. Designed for 1/2? rod-end steering linkage, they integrate seamlessly into drag race and performance front-end setups. Each kit includes castle nuts, keyed washers, cotter pins, ball joint spacers, and steering arm bolts for a complete installation.
The 2? drop geometry corrects the front suspension angle and strut height on lowered Foxbody vehicles, restoring shock travel and improving consistency at launch. Even with the drop design, these spindles retain compatibility with aftermarket stock-type V8 Mustang brake kits (Strange, TBM, Wilwood, Aerospace). At only 4 lbs per spindle, they offer a massive weight reduction over OEM cast units. Note: These will not work with true factory brakes.
The design supports all commonly available ball joints, whether Foxbody (spacer included) or SN95/New Edge (spacer not required). Adjustable A-arms are recommended for proper alignment and bump-steer control. SN95/New Edge cars running Foxbody geometry will require narrowed A-arms depending on caster/camber plate location.
