TRZ Motorsports Billet Aluminum Spindles - Extended Length - Stock Height / Stock-Type V8 Brakes (1979 - 1993 Ford Mustang) - 328-MUS1-2
Extended-Length Stock-Height Billet Spindles for 1979 - 1993 Foxbody Mustang
The TRZ Motorsports Extended-Length Billet Aluminum Spindles - Stock Height are engineered for Foxbody Mustang owners running custom steering rack locations or forward-mounted racks that require additional steering arm length. CNC-machined in-house from premium billet aluminum, each spindle incorporates heat-treated stainless steel spindle pins and TRZ's exclusive 3-piece, no-weld design for maximum durability and accuracy.
This stock-height version is ideal for factory-height or slightly lowered vehicles, allowing more strut compression to achieve maximum extension - a major benefit for drag cars using long-travel struts or setups needing extra front-end rise. The included extended-length billet steering arms (1.5? longer than stock) are designed specifically for applications where the steering rack is placed 2? or farther forward of the factory location.
Each spindle kit includes all required hardware: castle nuts, keyed washers, cotter pins, ball joint spacers, and steering arm bolts. The .750? strut mount flange matches factory Foxbody GT geometry, and the design works with Foxbody (spacer included) or SN95/New Edge ball joints (no spacer needed). These spindles retain compatibility with popular aftermarket stock-type V8 brake kits (Strange, TBM, Wilwood, Aerospace), but will not fit genuine OEM brakes.
At only 4 lbs per spindle, they offer a significant weight reduction over factory cast iron Foxbody spindles. Adjustable A-arms are strongly recommended for precise alignment and bump-steer control. For 1994 - 2004 Mustangs using Fox spindles, a narrowed A-arm (1? or more) will be required depending on caster/camber plate setup.

Frequently Asked Questions
Why choose the extended-length steering arm version?
If your steering rack is positioned 2? or more forward of the stock location, the extended-length arms restore proper steering geometry and help prevent bump-steer issues.
Are these compatible with factory Foxbody front brakes?
No. They only work with aftermarket brake kits designed to fit stock-type Mustang V8 spindles, such as Strange, TBM, Wilwood, or Aerospace.
