The TRZ Motorsports Stock Height Billet Spindles & Steering Arms give S-10 and Blazer performance builders a lightweight, ultra-strong spindle upgrade that works with the most popular drag race brake systems. These spindles are CNC-machined from 6061 billet aluminum and designed for 1978 - 1988 G-body and 1982 - 2002 Chevy S-10 / Blazer platforms using brake kits that fit OEM-style spindles.
This package includes a matched set of 2" drop billet spindles built around durable 17-4 heat-treated stainless steel spindle pins, plus TRZ billet 6061 steering arms and all required hardware. Buyers may also upgrade to TRZ Quick Steer Arms (303-QS), which improve turning radius by up to 30% on rack-and-pinion vehicles.
These billet spindles work with drag brake systems designed for factory spindle geometry, including Strange, TBM, and Wilwood 140-1033-BD. Total assembly weight - spindles, arms, and hardware - is an ultralight 11 pounds, reducing unsprung mass and improving steering responsiveness.
Because of geometry changes, bump-steer correction is required. TRZ steering arms help simplify this by lengthening tie rods and using a 1/2" straight-hole connection for easier adjustment. If you already run a bump-steer kit, TRZ can provide the proper adjuster lengths separately.
Caliper Bracket Bolt Size Information
- Strange Kits - Pre-Sept. 2021: 3/8-24 thread; Current: 7/16-14 thread.
Note: Wheel speed sensor requires modifying the spindles/arms. - TBM Kits - Pre-Sept. 2023: 8mm x 1.25 thread; Current: 3/8-24 thread.
- Wilwood Kits - Use 3/8-24 thread. Caliper bracket must be trimmed to use only 2 of 3 bolts.
- Aerospace Kits - Use 3/8-16 thread; you must supply 3/8-24 bolts.
- Kits without caliper spacers may require clearancing both bracket and spindle.
If you cannot measure your caliper-bracket bolt size, selecting the 8mm option allows you to drill/tap the spindle as you would with a factory spindle.
