TRZ Motorsports Stock Height Billet Spindles & Steering Arms / 1 Pair - 8mm x 1.25 (1982 - 2002 Chevy Blazer / S-10) - 328-51 & 303
Billet Stock-Height Spindles & Steering Arms for 1982 - 2002 S-10 / Blazer
The TRZ Motorsports Stock Height Billet Spindles & Steering Arms are engineered for serious drag racers and performance S-10 / Blazer builders who want lighter weight, improved steering geometry, and compatibility with race-proven brake systems. These 6061 billet aluminum spindles and arms are designed to fit 1978 - 1988 G-body and 1982 - 2002 Chevy S-10 / Blazer chassis and work with stock-style drag race brake kits designed for OEM-style spindles.
This package includes a matched pair of 2" drop billet 6061 spindles, built around ultra-strong 17-4 heat-treated stainless steel spindle pins. Also included is a pair of TRZ billet 6061 steering arms along with all necessary hardware. For more aggressive steering response, you can upgrade to the optional TRZ Quick Steer Arms (Part # 303-QS), which improve turning radius by up to 30% on rack-and-pinion setups.
These spindles are compatible with drag race brake kits designed for factory-style mounting, including Strange, TBM, and Wilwood 140-1033-BD. (Note: These do NOT fit late-model S-10/Blazer factory 2-piston caliper brakes.) At only 11 pounds for the pair - arms, spindles, and hardware included - this setup provides a substantial reduction in unsprung weight.
Because of the steering geometry changes, a bump-steer kit is required. TRZ steering arms are designed to help achieve proper bump-steer by lengthening tie rods and using a convenient 1/2" straight hole design. If you already have a bump-steer kit, TRZ can supply the necessary length adjusters separately.
Caliper Bracket Bolt Size Information
Brake kits vary by manufacturer and production date. TRZ provides guidance so you select (or drill/tap) the correct mounting bolt size:
- Strange Kits - Pre-Sept. 2021: 3/8-24 thread; Current kits: 7/16-14 thread. (Wheel speed sensor requires spindle/arm modifications.)
- TBM Kits - Pre-Sept. 2023: 8mm x 1.25 thread; Current kits: 3/8-24 thread.
- Wilwood Kits - Use 3/8-24 thread. Caliper brackets must be modified to run 2 of 3 bolts; forward section must be trimmed.
- Aerospace Kits - Use 3/8-16 thread; you must supply 3/8-24 bolts for this spindle.
- Aerospace kits without bracket spacers may require clearancing the bracket and spindle for flush mounting.
When in doubt, physically measure your current hardware. If measuring is not possible, select the 8mm option and drill/tap the spindle as you would with a factory unit.

Frequently Asked Questions
Do these spindles work with factory-style drag brakes?
Yes. They are designed for any brake kit built for factory S-10/G-body spindles, including Strange, TBM, and Wilwood 140-1033-BD.
Is a bump-steer kit required?
Yes. Due to geometry changes, bump-steer correction is necessary. TRZ arms help by using a 1/2" straight hole and extended tie-rod length for easier adjustment.
