Lightweight Adjustable Steering Column for 2015 - 2023 Mustang (S550)
The TRZ Motorsports Lightweight Adjustable Steering Column brings race-focused precision and cockpit optimization to 2015 - 2022 S550 Mustang builds. Designed for drag racing, no-prep, roll racing, and serious street/strip applications, this unit utilizes TRZ's proven 6061 aluminum swivel ball and mount to deliver 10 height adjustment positions. This allows drivers to fine-tune steering wheel position for improved ergonomics, reaction time, and control behind the wheel.
This steering column mounts from the quick-release hub to just a couple inches past the firewall and does not include the long steering shaft that travels through the engine bay. This design gives builders complete freedom when routing steering linkage around turbo kits, long-tube headers, engine swaps, or aftermarket rack-and-pinion systems. TRZ includes a loose Delrin bushing that must be pressed into the outer column and reamed to .75" to ensure smooth, precise steering action.
The column also features a five-hole firewall pattern that adapts to the varying OE firewall configurations found on 2015 - 2022 Mustangs, including models originally equipped with three- or four-hole bolt patterns.
