The TRZ Motorsports Lightweight Adjustable Steering Column is a race-proven upgrade designed specifically for 1979 - 1993 Fox Body Mustang builds. Engineered for drag racing, street/strip performance, and custom chassis applications, this column uses TRZ's signature 6061 aluminum swivel ball and mount to provide 10 height adjustment positions. This gives drivers the ability to fine-tune steering wheel angle and cockpit ergonomics for better control, quicker reaction times, and improved comfort behind the wheel.
Purpose-built for builders who demand flexibility, this column mounts from the quick-release steering wheel hub to a couple inches through the firewall. It does not include the long steering shaft that travels through the engine bay, allowing full customization around aftermarket headers, steering racks, and tight engine bay layouts. TRZ includes a loose Delrin bushing that should be pressed into the outer tube and reamed to .75" to achieve smooth, precise steering movement.
A five-hole firewall mounting pattern ensures compatibility with the various OE firewall bolt configurations found across Fox Body Mustangs, including both three-bolt and four-bolt factory layouts.
