The TRZ Motorsports 327-20 Lightweight Adjustable Steering Column is a universal, race-oriented column designed for maximum adjustability, minimal weight, and clean installation in drag racing applications. Its unique 6061 aluminum swivel ball and mount provide 10 height adjustment positions, allowing drivers to fine-tune steering wheel placement for comfort, safety, and cockpit ergonomics.
This column is designed to mount from the steering wheel's quick-release hub to just a few inches past the firewall. It is not a full-length steering shaft and does not include components that run through the engine bay. For proper operation, it requires a quick release adapter such as the Strange Quick Release or the Motion Raceworks SFI hub (5/6 bolt). Depending on your steering setup, an additional U-joint may be required if this column is not purchased alongside a TRZ rack kit.
The outer tube measures 1.125? OD while the inner tube is .75? OD, and the included Delrin bushing must be pressed into the outer tube then reamed to .75? ID to achieve smooth steering movement. This setup provides rigid, reliable steering articulation while keeping weight to a minimum for competitive drag racing builds.
