2" Drop Billet Spindle-Mount Drag Spindles for 78 - 88 Malibu G-Body
The TRZ Motorsports 2" Drop GM Billet Spindle Mount Spindles deliver maximum weight savings, precision geometry, and uncompromised strength for drag racers running spindle-mount wheels on the 1978 - 1988 Chevy Malibu G-Body platform. These spindles eliminate the heavy OEM hub assembly, reduce rotating mass, and improve suspension performance for more efficient weight transfer and harder launches.
Each spindle is CNC-machined in-house from high-quality billet aluminum and comes standard with heat-treated stainless steel spindle pins. Racers wanting to trim rotating weight even further can upgrade to titanium spindle pins (32601-TI), saving just under one pound. The kit includes castle nuts, keyed washers, ARP stainless caliper bolts, steering arm bolts, and cotter pins.
These spindles must be paired with TRZ Billet Steering Arms (303) or optional Quick Steer Arms (303-QS). Using Quick Steer Arms can improve steering response and turning radius by up to 30% in rack-and-pinion conversions.
Intended solely for drag racing applications, the 2" drop design corrects front suspension geometry and improves installed shock height on lowered G-Body setups. These spindles work with aftermarket drag brake systems from Strange and TBM in both spindle-mount and hub-style configurations - but will not work with factory brake systems.
