Stock-Spring Lower Control Arms for 1977 - 1996 Chevrolet Impala & Caprice
The TRZ Motorsports 322-STK-Lowers are high-strength tubular lower control arms designed for 1977 - 1996 Impala and Caprice B-Body platforms. Made from TIG-welded chrome-moly tubing, these race-oriented lowers deliver major improvements in rigidity, weight reduction, and suspension geometry compared to the factory stamped control arms.
These lowers are engineered for factory-style springs and shocks, making them ideal for racers wanting to retain stock spring architecture while upgrading the control arm system. The dropped spring perches accommodate taller aftermarket coils, and depending on spring selection, the front end may naturally lower between 1.5 and 1.75 inches versus OEM height.
When paired with TRZ's PRO Series uppers, this system can achieve the targeted 6 - 7 degrees of positive caster, a major benefit for straight-line stability and drag racing consistency. Uppers or lowers used by themselves cannot achieve this caster improvement.
Note: TRZ control arms are designed strictly for drag racing. They do not include sway bar tabs and are not intended for street applications.
