Complete Coilover Front Control Arm System for 1978 - 1988 Malibu
The TRZ Motorsports 319-PRO-CO kit is a full coilover-compatible front control arm system engineered for 1978 - 1988 Chevrolet Malibu G-Body drag racing applications. Constructed from TIG-welded chrome-moly tubing, this kit replaces the factory stamped arms with significantly lighter, stronger, and geometry-optimized components built for track performance.
Included are TRZ's PRO Series upper control arms featuring chrome-moly rod-ends and billet cross-shafts, paired with coilover-only lower control arms that accept all 1" Ã 1/2" bearing-style coilover shock mounts. For QA1 coilovers, TRZ recommends the COM8T-102PK bearing kit for proper fitment.
The coilover lowers allow substantial ride height adjustability: 316-style lowers reduce front height by roughly 2 inches, while 319/S10-style lowers enable a steeper 2 - 3 inch drop. When used as a complete system, the geometry allows the suspension to achieve 6 - 7 degrees of positive caster - ideal for straight-line stability and launch consistency. The uppers also incorporate travel limiters to optimize weight transfer on hard launches.
Note: All TRZ A-arms are designed strictly for drag racing. They do not include sway bar tabs and should not be used for street driving.
