Front Upper Coil-Over Mounts for 1978 - 1988 Malibu (G-Body)
The TRZ Motorsports Front Upper Coil-Over Mounts upgrade the suspension on 1978 - 1988 Chevy Malibu G-Body platforms by converting the factory upper shock stud mount into a precise bearing-style coil-over mount. This eliminates the rubber bushing slop, flattening, and long-term degradation common in stud-style mounts, resulting in more consistent suspension movement, improved handling, and better weight transfer.
These brackets bolt to the backside of the upper cross-shaft frame mount for correct coil-over positioning, and welding is required to finalize installation. Once installed, the system supports any 1" wide x 1/2" ID upper shock mount, allowing G-Body owners to run modern performance coil-over shocks.
Each kit includes LH/RH upper mounts, (2) Grade 8 shock bolts with nylocks, and (2) travel limiter bolt pad brackets (where applicable for G-Body and S10). Designed for precision and durability, these mounts eliminate the inconsistencies of rubber and deliver a far more accurate front suspension setup.
