The TRZ Motorsports Coilover Lower Control Arms (317-CO-Lowers) are engineered for racers converting their 1964 - 1972 GM A-Body Chevelle, Malibu, or El Camino to a true coilover front suspension setup. Built from TIG-welded chrome-moly tubing, these arms offer outstanding strength and precision with significant weight savings compared to factory arms.
These lowers accept all 1-inch wide x 1/2-inch ID bearing-style lower shock mounts, making them compatible with common coilover setups. For existing QA1 coilovers, TRZ recommends the COM8T-102PK bearing kit to ensure proper fitment. Depending on the exact model (316 series or 319/S10 series), these coilover lowers can lower the front end between 2" and 3" compared to stock height - ideal for drag race stance, weight transfer, and aero balance.
Pairing these lowers with TRZ's PRO Series upper control arms (sold separately) allows the chassis to achieve the intended 6 - 7 degrees of positive caster. Using lowers alone will not achieve these caster numbers and may create alignment limitations.
Important: All TRZ A-arms are designed for drag racing only and do not include sway bar tabs. Not intended for street use.
