Coilover-Specific Lower Control Arms for First-Gen F-Body & Early Nova
The TRZ Motorsports 316-CO-Lowers are high-performance coilover-style lower control arms engineered for 1967 - 1969 Camaro, 1967 - 1969 Firebird, and 1968 - 1974 Chevrolet Nova. Built from TIG-welded chrome-moly tubing, these lowers deliver the strength, precision, and weight reduction required in serious drag racing applications.
Designed specifically for coilover conversions, these arms accept any 1-inch wide à 1/2-inch ID bearing-style lower shock mount. For QA1 coilovers, TRZ recommends the COM8T-102PK bearing kit for proper compatibility. Compared to stock arms, 316-series coilover lowers typically reduce the vehicle's front ride height by approximately 2 inches, while 319/S10 coilover lowers can achieve a 2 - 3 inch drop.
These lowers are part of TRZ's matched geometry system. When combined with their PRO Series upper control arms, the complete front suspension package can achieve 6 - 7 degrees of positive caster. Uppers or lowers alone will not reach these alignment values and may lead to caster/camber constraints without the full kit.
Note: TRZ A-arms are intended exclusively for drag racing. They do not include sway bar tabs and are not suitable for street use.
