Single-Shear Dropped Coil-Over Brackets for Backbraced Rear Housings
The TRZ Motorsports 209-28S Coil-Over Brackets are engineered specifically for backbraced rearend housings, providing a strong, adjustable, and properly positioned mounting solution for coil-over shocks. These dropped brackets help optimize shock angle and travel, especially on performance-oriented drag setups where suspension geometry is critical.
Each bracket is CNC-machined from billet aluminum for precision fitment and strength. This version is the single-shear configuration, offering increased flexibility in shock width compatibility depending on spacer choice. TRZ also offers double-shear and 2.5" dropped options for more extreme builds.
These mounts include multiple adjustment positions so you can fine-tune shock leverage, ride height, and suspension behavior. All necessary Grade 8 hardware is included.
TRZ recommends supporting these brackets with a lower crossbrace for added strength, though it is not absolutely required. Dropped coil-over mounts typically place a 5" stroke shock under the floor, while 6" and 7" stroke shocks may pass up through the floor depending on ride height and upper mount position. The dropped design also allows many 6" or 7" shocks to mount under the floor in most setups.
Note: For non-backbraced housings, use Part #209-27S, #209-27D, or #209-27D-4.
