TRZ Motorsports Coil-Over Brackets for Backbraced Housing - 2.5" Dropped Double Shear - 209-28D-4
Extreme-Drop 2.5" Double-Shear Coil-Over Brackets for Backbraced Rear Housings
The TRZ Motorsports 209-28D-4 Coil-Over Brackets are the 2.5" dropped double-shear version, engineered specifically for backbraced rearend housings. Designed for aggressive suspension setups requiring additional shock drop, these brackets allow optimal placement of longer shocks - especially in high-performance drag race applications.
Manufactured from precision CNC-machined billet aluminum, these mounts provide exceptional strength and shock stability. The double-shear configuration significantly reduces bracket flex and distributes load evenly, making it ideal for high-horsepower vehicles.
This 2.5" dropped version provides additional clearance and allows many 6" and 7" stroke shocks to be mounted under the floor instead of through it - depending on ride height and upper shock mount location. Standard 5" stroke shocks typically mount below the floor with ease.
The brackets feature multiple adjustment holes for fine-tuning shock angle, preload, and suspension geometry. All required Grade 8 hardware is included, and TRZ recommends using a lower crossbrace for improved structural support.
Note: For non-backbraced housings, use Part #209-27S, #209-27D, or #209-27D-4.
