Double-Shear Dropped Coil-Over Brackets for Backbraced Rear Housings
The TRZ Motorsports 209-28D Coil-Over Brackets are engineered specifically for backbraced rearend housings, offering maximum strength, stability, and shock control thanks to their double-shear design. Built from CNC-machined billet aluminum, these mounts provide precise, durable coil-over positioning ideal for drag race suspension setups.
Double-shear mounting dramatically increases lateral stability and reduces shock pivot flex, making these brackets the preferred choice for high-power applications. Each bracket is designed to fit 1/2" ID × 1" wide shock bearings, ensuring compatibility with popular coil-over shock configurations.
The dropped positioning allows shocks to be mounted under the floor with 5" stroke shocks, while most 6" - 7" stroke shocks will mount through the floor depending on ride height and upper mount placement. The dropped design also enables many longer-stroke shocks to mount under the floor on builds with the correct geometry.
These mounts include multiple adjustment points for fine-tuning suspension leverage and preload, along with all necessary Grade 8 hardware. TRZ recommends pairing these mounts with a lower crossbrace for added support, though it is not strictly required.
Note: If your housing is NOT backbraced, use Part #209-27S, #209-27D, or #209-27D-4.
