Double-Shear Coil-Over Brackets for Non-Backbraced Rear Housings
The TRZ Motorsports 209-27D Coil-Over Brackets provide a rugged, adjustable, and race-ready solution for mounting coil-over shocks on non-backbraced rearend housings. Built from precision CNC-machined billet aluminum, these brackets use a double-shear design for added strength and stability - ideal for high-power drag setups.
These dropped mounts position the shock lower on the housing, allowing optimal mounting geometry. They're engineered to fit 1/2" ID × 1" wide shock bearings and include Grade 8 hardware. Multiple adjustment holes let you fine-tune shock angle, ride height, and anti-squat characteristics.
With these brackets, 5" stroke shocks typically mount under the floor, while 6" and 7" stroke shocks may mount through the floor depending on your upper mount layout. TRZ recommends using a lower crossbrace for additional support - especially on high-horsepower applications.
Note: For backbraced housings, use Part #209-28S, #209-28D, or #209-28D-4.
