The SP Machining Gen 5 / 6 Whipple F-150 8 Rib Kit (Part #SPM-SBD-001) is the first fully bolt-on 8-rib conversion system designed for 20182025 Ford F-150 running Whipple Gen 5 or Gen 6 superchargers. Developed in partnership with JD Performance Solutions, this upgrade dramatically improves belt grip, reduces slip under boost, and increases reliability for high-power Whipple builds.
This conversion system replaces critical FEAD components with 8-rib hardware while keeping compatibility with the factory Whipple idler bracket and SP Machinings upcoming billet tensioner bracket. It integrates cleanly with Whipple and GripTec 8-rib supercharger pulleys and supports multiple ATI damper options for added versatility.
The kit maintains complete compatibility with the factory 4-rib A/C belt. If youre retaining air conditioning, simply run the OE belt on the middle four ribs of the Mustang-style damperno rerouting or additional changes required.
